pinhal Description:

This popular course in Vilamoura runs through a pine tree forest typical of the area. The first holes wander past the mature holiday villas that line both sides of the fairways. Carefully placed bunkers makes the course very enjoyable to the average player. The course is a good test to the choice of individual clubs and the player's accuracy. The fourth hole which is a par-4 is a demanding to achieve with water hazards waiting for the wayward shot. The par-3 eighth hole which is only 149 metres in length may prove to be more tricky than it appears at first sight. The last nine holes home have generally have a more generous fairways. The fifteenth par-4 often proves more of a problem to reach par then to actually play.

pinhal Directions:

Via Infante (A22) - Take Boliqueime Exit-11 and head south until you reach the first roundabout with traffic lights. Turn east onto the Road EN 125 to Vilamoura and continue for about 4 kms until next traffic lights. Turn right into Vilamoura and continue around all roundabouts. Proceed straight ahead for about 1.5 kms. You will be soon driving along a spacious dual-carriageway with its lanes divided by generous lawns and greenery. At the end of the initial straight part the road bends to the right - move into the left lane. At this bend take the linking road in the centre to take vehicles back in the reverse direction. After turning back here proceed immediately into the right hand lane because in 200 metres in front you take the slip road to the right. Continue straight on round two roundabouts and you will see the entrance to the Club House in front of you after this second roundabout.
